A comms blackout can impact safety. Here’s what to do:

Steps:

  1. Stay calm and activate your mine’s communications incident protocol.
  2. Try re-booting nearest communications nodes if accessible.
  3. Use backup/radio systems to contact your supervisor or MST support.
  4. Log the date, time, and affected areas.
  5. Raise an urgent support ticket via the Customer Portal or call your MST emergency line (details in your site’s escalation plan).

Critical:
In an emergency, always prioritize local site ERT and evacuation protocols.
